No Title

I Know. Titles ,make us feel secure,trusted ,in control and they’re usually the things that bring credit to our existence. We work so hard to achieve them, we do years of training and competing , we invest all of our energy and sometimes hard earned money to obtain them,adding all of our natural jewels even the ones we loan to build this royal crown that you’re meant to wear for the rest of your life because that’s what gives us value. Our crowns, or as we know them, our titles. The work is in the title right? the knowledge is in it too, the experience…the strength and sometimes our weaknesses are all interlinked to our titles. This is evident in society…when the title is inferior,the person is believed to be inadequate and their qualities are ineffective, until proven differently.

I really hope though, that we remember ,that our titles do not define us. That it is merely just a frame and we are always the picture,the picture that was always there. With all the colours you could imagine and all of the significance you could find. You are always the picture, you can always change your frame, you could share it with someone else, but that precious peerless, whole-heart and soulful picture is ALL YOU. So, the next time you decide to chase after a job or a label that you hope will bring respect to your name and add value to your life ,remember that you are ALL OF the treasure and ask yourself if it will give you anything, you don’t already have . You don’t need no title.
